Words that do the heavy lifting, quietly.

I'm Rodion Vynnychenko — a freelance copywriter based in Oregon City, Oregon, writing for founders, creative directors and marketing teams for more than six years. Brand voice, editorial, campaigns, landing pages, email sequences. Copy that does the work so your product doesn't have to.

Good copy disappears. It doesn't announce itself or ask for applause — it just quietly moves someone from here to there, from curious to convinced, from browser to buyer.

My name is Rodion Vynnychenko. I'm a copywriter based in Oregon City, Oregon, about twenty minutes south of Portland. For the last six-plus years I've written for early-stage startups, independent studios, mid-market SaaS, Fortune-500 marketing departments, and a handful of ambitious one-person brands. Some of that work has launched products. Some of it has launched companies. A surprising amount of it has quietly paid off over years, without ever trending on anything.

Clients come to Rodion Vynnychenko when the copy needs to sound like a person rather than a committee — when the goal is to build a voice that outlasts the rebrand, a launch that doesn't sound like every other launch, or a homepage that stops using the word "solutions" three times in the fold.

Partial to strong coffee, clean typography, the oxford comma, and the particular kind of Pacific Northwest drizzle that makes it easier to write.

How Rodion works

Every copywriting engagement with Rodion Vynnychenko follows roughly the same rhythm. It's not a rigid process — it's a trail of what tends to work.

i.

Listen first, draft second

The most useful copywriting decisions happen before a single word is written. I start with a short, deliberate intake — your audience, your competitors, the things your customers actually say when they're being honest — and then I read everything you've already published. Often the voice is already there; it just needs to be found.

ii.

Write specifically, edit ruthlessly

First drafts are for getting to the real idea. Second drafts are for cutting. I write with a strong point of view and then spend as much time trimming as I did drafting. Copy that's 40% shorter and 100% clearer is almost always the goal.

iii.

Deliver in context

Copy doesn't live in a Google Doc. Whenever possible I deliver work where it'll actually be used — in the Figma file, the Webflow page, the Klaviyo flow, the brand book. Reviewers respond faster, design works better, and nobody has to guess which version is the final one.

iv.

Stick around afterward

The handoff isn't the end. I'm available for the launch-week tweaks, the unexpected PR moment, the subject line that needs rewriting at 9pm on a Tuesday. Clients keep working with Rodion Vynnychenko because I treat their brand like I still have skin in the game — because I do.

Six core copywriting services, offered as standalone projects or as part of an ongoing retainer. Rodion Vynnychenko works directly with founders, marketing leads, creative directors and in-house teams — no account managers in the middle.

01Brand Voice

Tone of voice guidelines, messaging architectures, and the words that make a brand sound like itself — on every channel, for every audience. The kind of document your whole team actually reaches for.

Voice guidelines · Messaging matrix · Tagline system · Naming

02Campaign Concepts

Headlines, taglines, and concept platforms that earn attention without shouting. From launch moments to long-running series, print to paid social, out-of-home to product-of-the-year.

Concepts · Headlines · Scripts · Paid social · OOH

03Editorial & Long-form

Brand publications, manifestos, field guides, op-eds and long-form features. Stories that reward the reader's time — and earn the kind of attention that paid media can't buy.

Features · Manifestos · Annual reports · Brand books

04Web & UX Copy

Landing pages, product copy, microcopy. Clear, specific, and measurably better than the placeholder it replaced. I write directly in Figma and Webflow whenever the team's workflow allows it.

Landing pages · Product pages · Microcopy · UX flows

05Email & Sequences

Welcome flows, nurture series, and one-off broadcasts. Writing that gets opened, read, and occasionally replied to — without the exclamation-point energy of most lifecycle copy.

Welcome flows · Newsletters · Lifecycle · Sales sequences

06Consulting & Workshops

Voice audits, team workshops, and one-on-one feedback for in-house writers. Useful when your copy doesn't need a rewrite — it needs a shared point of view the whole team can work from.

Kind words

Recent clients · 2023 — 2026

Rodion Vynnychenko is the rare copywriter who makes the whole team write better. Every draft he sent us raised the bar for the next one — and six months later, we still use his voice document as our north star.

Clara Emerson
Head of Brand · Plainfield SaaS

We hired Rodion to write one landing page. He ended up rewriting our entire homepage, naming our next product, and quietly fixing things in the footer nobody had looked at in two years. Hire him.

Marco Liang
Co-founder · Orrin & Co.

The best copywriter I've worked with in fifteen years of running creative teams. Rodion writes like he's been in your customer's head for a decade — specific, warm, and never precious about his own drafts.

Devon Asher
ECD · Meridian Studio

Reliable, fast, and genuinely funny when it matters. Rodion Vynnychenko is the first name on our short list whenever we're launching something we actually care about.

Frequently asked

The questions that come up in almost every first conversation. If yours isn't here, just write.

Where is Rodion Vynnychenko based, and do you work remotely?

I'm based in Oregon City, Oregon — about twenty minutes south of Portland. Roughly 80% of my copywriting work is remote, for clients across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the EU. I'm also available for on-site days in the Portland metro area, and travel for brand workshops or launch sprints when the project calls for it.

What kind of copywriting projects do you take on?

Brand voice development, campaign concepts, long-form editorial, web and UX copy, email and lifecycle writing, and copywriting consulting. I work equally often with early-stage startups, independent design studios, mid-market SaaS companies, and in-house brand teams that need a specialist on call.

How much experience do you have?

Six-plus years as a full-time copywriter, with prior editorial and publishing work before that. Over that time I've shipped copy for more than eighty brands across roughly fourteen industries — from specialty coffee and outdoor gear to B2B SaaS and financial services.

Do you offer retainers, or only project work?

Both. Most new engagements begin as a defined project — a voice document, a landing page system, a launch campaign — and many of them roll into a monthly retainer once the working relationship is established. Retainers typically run 20–40 hours a month.

What's your pricing like?

Project-based for most engagements, with a clear scope and fixed fee up front. Ballpark: landing pages from $2.5k, brand voice projects from $6k, campaign concepts from $4k, retainers from $3.5k a month. Happy to walk through specifics once I understand the work.

What's your availability like right now?

I'm accepting new copywriting projects for Q2 and Q3 of 2026, with limited availability for rush work before then. The best way to check current openings is to email directly — I reply within one business day.
